How exciting Our First Ever Blog Hop.
Don’t forget to hop on over to all of the other blogs to check out what they have created.
We are casing a card out of the New Stampin Up Catalog that just went live on June 2nd.
There are some Amazing products in the new catalog. I can’t wait to show you more creations after I receive my first order. Shouldn’t be long.
Now for some fun!
If you turn to page 109 in your new Catalog you will see this card here I have cased. Of course I put my own spin on it. Here is the card Stampin Up created.
This card is a standard A-2 side folding card. 8 1/2 x 5 1/4 folded down the middle. I will list all the supplies I used along with the item numbers to make it easier on you if you would like to purchase any of these items.
For the base of the card I used Smokey Slate cardstock
I ran the front of the card base through the Arrows Embossing folder which gives your cardstock great dimension.
Next I created a background piece for the 1/4 in strip of cardstock sitting on the far right of the card.
I took a piece of whisper white and used the Chevron stamp from the stamp set “Work of Art” and stamped it at an angle all the way down the cardstock in memento tuxedo black ink.
I then layered a 1/4 in strip from the Brand New in colors Hello Honey cardstock.
I then cut a 2in x 2 1/2in rectangle from basic gray cardstock and added white stitch lines around it and corner chomped the edges.
I grabbed my Word Bubbles dies, Strawberry Slush cardstock, white vellum and die cut 3 of the word bubbles then added white stitched lines around those as well.
I love the stitched look. Makes cards so much fun.
Next I took 2 dies from the Circle Card die set. I used the star and the double ended fishtail banner. I cut out 3 of the stars and inked them really well in versamark ink then heat embossed them in black embossing powder.
I used the Just Sayin stamp set and stamped the sentiment “Hey there” then heat embossed that as well in black. The Just sayin stamp set goes with the word bubble die set. I had to block off the outline on the stamp with washi tape. I then inked it up took the tape off and stamped it out.
My last finishing touch I added 4 of the rhinestone basic jewels to give it that extra bling!
I hope you have enjoyed my part in the Bog Hop!!!

I love how you created the background with the chevrons from Work of Art. Very nice. 🙂
Thank you! I didn’t have the black and white striped DSP so I figured I would try making something still using black and white.
Love your case card, it’s so fun and creative, I have to try it now!
Thank you! You should def try it. It’s an easy card to make. The part that took the longest was heat embossing. Which really doesn’t take much time.
So cute! I love your card and all the touches like the stitching and stars. Thanks for sharing how you put it all together too!
Awe Thank you!
You card is so fun! I need to remember to make my own DSP for some cards. 🙂

Thank you! It was a lot of fun to make! I like casing cards. It’s easier on my brain lol. Even when you do put your own spin on it!
